Latest Update: November 15, 2021
Hello, prayer partners!! We have officially been in Canada for ONE YEAR, and we have a lot to catch you up on! We are excited about what God is doing in Whitby. The word is out that Jonathan is a pastor, and many of our neighbors are asking us what we believe. In a world where religion can be seen as a taboo conversation, this shows us people are not only interested but desperate to find the truth. We had a busy street on Halloween night, and we were able to have conversations with people all around our neighborhood. Our theme was "Jesus is the Light," and we gave out glow bracelets, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate. Our table was a huge hit. We were able to share with some about the Gospel and others came by expressing their support for Christ, which was encouraging. Please continue to pray for our boldness in sharing the Good News and for the harvest to be plentiful in Whitby. Jonathan has been busy with training. He has been in training through the North American Mission Board (NAMB) for church planting, and he was also asked to participate in a coaching training. Through NAMB, every church planter has a coach, and Jonathan was asked to be a coach for a future church planter. He will serve as a coach for another planter when he completes the training. Please pray for Jonathan as he learns, grows, and serves in this capacity. Our family will be traveling to the USA for American Thanksgiving (In Canada, Thanksgiving was celebrated on October 11). This will be our first trip back since we moved up here last October, so we are excited to visit our families and some of our partner churches! Please pray us as we drive to Mississippi and back over the next few weeks - for safe travels, easy border crossings, and rest. When we return from our visit in Mississippi, we will hit the ground running with Christmas outreach. One of our partner churches has put together some winter prep bags filled with tissues, cough drops, lotion, and Gospel tracts. We will pass these bags out around the community as we seek to engage in Gospel conversations. Please pray that God will prepare the hearts of those we meet, and that they will be receptive to the Gospel! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- We have heard it said and have found it to be true that a church planter never stops fundraising. The majority of our income and preparation for our church plant comes from individuals and churches who have partnered with us financially, and we are so grateful for those of you who have! If you would like to pass along our information to your pastor or church leaders, we have attached our prospectus at the bottom of this email. If you would like to make an individual gift, you may do so here: https://missionaries.namb.net/full/jonathan-bryant We love you all and are forever grateful for your prayers and support of our family to fulfill the calling that God has placed on our lives. You can respond to this email if you have any questions or just want to say hello - we’d love to hear from you! Jonathan and Courtney Bryant bryantsintoronto@gmail.com Looking for more information?
