Hey, prayer partners!!
We are so grateful for your prayers and support over the last TEN months. It is so hard to believe we have lived here that long already! Summer has been our favorite season yet. The weather has been wonderful, and people have been outside and more social than in the colder months. Please pray for us, that we will be bold and intentional in sharing the Gospel with those around us. Please pray that we will enter into intentional discipleship relationships with those who are interested in growing in their faith.
Jonathan has had the opportunity to preach on a rotation at Fellowship Pickering, and he has been asked to preach at a couple of the other Fellowship Network church plants in coming weeks. He is grateful for the opportunity to preach God’s word, so please pray for him as he prepares and preaches.
We are so grateful for the way God provides. In June, Courtney started a part-time, remote job with Replicate Ministries, a discipleship ministry based in Tennessee. The new job has been a good fit for our family, and it offers the flexibility we need for our homeschooling and church planting. Please pray for Courtney as she balances this new position with teaching and serving here in Canada.
Courtney’s mom and grandmother got to come for a week-long visit recently. Jonathan had to be in Kansas City, MO for the week, so we decided to surprise the girls with a visit from some of their grandparents! It was such a joy to see the girls’ faces light up and to watch them introduce their family to their home in Canada. Saying goodbye was the hardest part. Please pray for us and our families in the States, as the physical distance between us can be so hard.
The girls are excited to start back to homeschool in the next couple of weeks. They have enjoyed the summer break, but they love learning, and they are looking forward to getting back into their school routine. We also have connected with some local homeschool groups, so we look forward to getting to do some activities with them this year. Please pray for Courtney as she prepares to teach them, and for the girls, that they will have teachable hearts and minds.
We are so excited to share with you that Ellie decided last month that she wants to follow Jesus! She has been asking questions about salvation for a while, but we didn’t sense until last month that she was ready to make that decision. We have prayed for her salvation from the moment we found out we were expecting, so we rejoice with all of heaven for her decision! Please pray for her as she grows in her relationship with Jesus.
Within the next month, we will be applying to extend our Canadian visas. Please pray that this will be a smooth process and that our application will be accepted. When we crossed into Canada last October, the process at the border took over 4 hours. We are praying that we will be able to move through the process much more quickly this time.
We have heard it said and have found it to be true that a church planter never stops fundraising. The majority of our income and preparation for our church plant comes from individuals and churches who have partnered with us financially, and we are so grateful for those of you who have! If you would like to pass along our information to your pastor or church leaders, we have attached our prospectus at the bottom of this email.
If you would like to make an individual gift, you may do so here: https://missionaries.namb.net/full/jonathan-bryant
We love you all and are forever grateful for your prayers and support of our family to fulfill the calling that God has placed on our lives. You can respond to this email if you have any questions or just want to say hello - we’d love to hear from you!
